Welcome to the blog for Boston's Oxfam Action Corps!
We are all excited to kick off a summer of action for climate change.
What is Action Corps? We're a group of concerned and committed citizens working to promote international adaptation for climate change. We will be hosting events, screening films, tabling at concerts, meeting with national and local government officials and talking to the people (such as yourself). Want to volunteer? Send us an e-mail.
Why are we advocating for international adaptation? Because climate change affects those in the impoverished developing nations the most. Adaptation funding allows local communities to work with their own tools to prepare themselves for the realities of climate change. These projects have included planting mangroves in Vietnam to prevent coastal erosion, and house platform raising in Bangladesh to stop flooding from affecting homes.
